Korth has produced the 6-shot double-action Combat revolver since 1966. The first model to be introduced on the market was Model 66. This did not have an ejector shroud. The ejector rod was under the barrel, without any cover. The cylinder could be tipped out of the frame by pulling the ejector rod forwards. The improved Model 71 appeared on the market in 1971. This had the characteristic cylinder bolt next to the hammer. In addition, the revolver had a short ejector shroud. In the summer of 1972, Korth designed the current Combat model with an ejector shroud which continued up to the muzzle.
This ejector shroud also serves as a barrel weight. This revolver has built-in blocking bar system as a safety. The Combat is available, with interchangeable cylinders, in the following calibers:
– .22 WMR with an interchangeable cylinder for .22 LR;
– .32 S&W Long;
– .357 Magnum with an interchangeable cylinder for .38 Special and/or 9 mm Para en/of 9×21 mm IMI.
In addition, there is a choice of different types of barrels:
– a 76.2 mm barrel without a ventilated barrel rib;
– a 102 mm barrel with a ventilated barrel rib;
– a 133 mm barrel with a ventilated barrel rib;
– a 152 mm barrel with a ventilated barrel rib;
Depending on the barrel length, the total length of the Combat revolver varies from 203 to 279 mm. The weight of the Korth Combat revolver is 935 to 1160 grams. The Combat has a simple rear sight, though the height can be decorated with engraving. The Combat is available in a blued, polished or mat finish, or in a polished or mat, silver colored plasma finish. The grips are made of walnut, with a recess in the left grip plate for the use of a speed loader.
